External/Dust Jacket Condition: The books are a three-volume set, leather bound with marble boards and endpapers. The pictorial boards have some wear and rubbing to the corners and edges, some light surface wear, the front cover of Volume 3 is lightly faded, otherwise very good, clean and bright.

Internal Condition: The previous owner's address label is on the front endpapers, the pages are browned and the fore-edges are slightly grubby, a couple of small grubby marks infrequently on the edges of the pages, the title page of Volume 3 is slightly foxed.
